Acceptable Use Policy

Version 2026-10-16.2 · Effective October 16, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you put into Brookwake (prompts, scripts, uploads, voice samples, preset fields) and everything you create, share or download with it.

1. Prohibited content

You may not create, upload, share or attempt to create:

  • Sexual content of any kind. This includes nudity, sexual acts, fetish content and sexualised depictions of anyone, real or fictional. Our payment processor doesn't allow AI adult content, and neither do we.
  • Anything sexualising minors, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We have zero tolerance: the account is banned immediately, the content is preserved, and we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as US law requires.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII): intimate or sexual images or video of a real person shared or created without their consent, including "deepfakes". Reported NCII is removed within 48 hours.
  • Real people without consent. Don't depict or imitate a real person's face or voice unless you are that person, or you have their explicit permission and they are 18 or older. See the Likeness & Consent Policy.
  • Impersonation and fraud: content made to deceive people about who is speaking or appearing, scams, fake endorsements, or content intended to mislead voters.
  • Violent extremism: content that promotes, supports or recruits for terrorist or violent extremist groups or acts.
  • Hate and harassment: content that attacks or dehumanises people based on a protected characteristic, or that bullies, threatens or harasses someone.
  • Self-harm promotion: content that encourages or instructs suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
  • Graphic violence and gore made to shock or glorify harm.
  • Illegal content or content that facilitates illegal activity.

2. Intellectual property

  • Don't upload or generate content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights, such as copyrighted characters, brand logos or another artist's protected work, unless you own the rights or have permission.
  • When our checks think a prompt may use someone else's IP or likeness, the job is held and we ask you to confirm: "I own the rights or have permission." Your answer is recorded with the time, your IP hash and your browser. A false confirmation is a breach of this policy.
  • This confirmation can never be used for content involving minors, or for a real person combined with sexual or violent content. Those are always blocked.
  • Rights holders can send us a notice under our DMCA Policy.

3. Likeness and voices

  • Uploading a face for avatars, lip sync or edits needs the face-consent confirmation: "I am the person shown, or I have their explicit permission to use their likeness, and they are 18 or older."
  • Uploading or cloning a voice needs the voice-consent confirmation: "This is my voice, or I have the speaker's explicit permission."
  • A face that appears to belong to a minor can't be used with any avatar, lip-sync, voice or edit feature.
  • Don't use Lipsync on recognised public figures, such as politicians, public officials and celebrities. Those jobs are blocked, with no override.
  • Each Lipsync job needs the confirmation: "I won't use this to make the person appear to say something they haven't agreed to."

4. Don't misuse the Service

  • Don't try to get around our safety checks, for example by misspelling blocked words, splitting prompts, or using the MCP connection or another account to retry blocked content.
  • Don't remove or alter the AI labels in our outputs' metadata, or hide the "AI-generated" labels, to deceive anyone about how content was made.
  • Don't attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, share your account, or resell access.
  • Don't use the Service to build a competing model or dataset from its outputs.

5. Use restrictions

These rules apply to every Brookwake feature and to everything you make with it, including where you use it afterwards. Some of the models we run are licensed to us on the condition that their users follow them. You may not use Brookwake or anything you make with it:

  • in any way that breaks a national, federal, state, local or international law or regulation;
  • to exploit or harm minors, or to try to, in any way;
  • to make or spread information you know is false in order to harm someone;
  • to make or spread personal information that could be used to harm someone;
  • to defame, disparage or harass anyone;
  • for fully automated decisions that harm someone's legal rights or create or change a binding obligation;
  • to discriminate against or harm people or groups based on their online or offline social behaviour or their known or predicted personal or personality characteristics;
  • to exploit the vulnerabilities of a group of people because of their age or their social, physical or mental characteristics, in order to distort the behaviour of someone in that group in a way that causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm to them or to someone else;
  • to discriminate against people or groups based on legally protected characteristics or categories;
  • to give medical advice or interpret medical results;
  • to produce information for use in the administration of justice, law enforcement, immigration or asylum processes, such as predicting that someone will commit fraud or a crime.

6. How we enforce this policy

  • Every prompt, upload and output is checked before anything is generated or shown. Checks use a blocklist and AI classifiers run by our providers. If no checker can answer, generation waits rather than running unchecked.
  • A blocked generation is refunded, with one exception: suspected CSAM is not refunded.
  • Strikes. Each block in a serious category (sexual content, minors, NCII, violent extremism) adds a strike to your account. Three strikes within 90 days suspend the account until we review it.
  • Cooldowns. More than 10 lower-severity blocks in a day pause generation for 24 hours.
  • Reports. Anyone can report a share link. Reports about NCII or minors are handled within 48 hours. When we act on a report we remove the content, revoke its share links, and may add a strike or suspend the account.
  • CSAM. Any suspected CSAM or sexualisation of a minor, in a prompt, upload or output, leads to immediate permanent suspension, preservation of the material for law enforcement, and a report to NCMEC's CyberTipline.
  • We may also suspend or terminate accounts for other serious or repeated breaches, as set out in the Terms of Service.

7. Reporting

To report content, use the Report button on any share page, the likeness report form, or our DMCA form for copyright. You can also email {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.
