Refund Policy

Version 2026-10-14 · Effective October 14, 2026

This Refund Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It explains when Brookwake refunds a payment. Credits are never cashable: outside the cases below, payments are not refundable.

1. Your first subscription payment

You can ask for a refund of your first subscription payment within 7 days of paying, if no credits have been used on that subscription. A credit counts as used once a generation has spent it.

  • The refund is the invoice amount minus Stripe's processing fee, which Stripe doesn't return to us.
  • Refunding a subscription cancels it immediately. The credits it granted are removed from your account.

2. Top-ups

You can ask for a refund of a top-up within 7 days of buying it, if none of its credits have been used. The refund is the amount paid minus Stripe's processing fee, and the top-up's credits are removed.

3. What is not refundable

  • Renewals of a subscription, monthly or annual, are not refundable. Cancel before your renewal date if you don't want to be charged again. You can cancel any time from Account → Billing.
  • Subscriptions and top-ups after the 7-day window, or once any of their credits have been used.
  • Credits themselves. Credits are not money and are never exchanged for cash. Unused subscription credits expire at the end of their period, and top-up credits expire after 90 days.
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for breaking the Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Failed and blocked generations

You don't need to ask for these: if a generation fails, or is blocked by our safety checks, its credits are returned to your balance automatically. These are credit refunds, not cash refunds. Suspected child sexual abuse material is the one exception and is never refunded.

5. How to ask

Email {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} from your account's email address within the 7-day window and tell us which payment you'd like refunded. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5 to 10 business days.

6. Payment disputes

If you dispute a payment with your bank instead of contacting us, your account may be frozen while the dispute is open.

This policy doesn't limit any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
